How long does the ChocoMax treatment last?
The ChocoMax keratin treatment lasts between 3 and 4 months, depending on the hair type and aftercare (use of sulfate-free shampoo).
Does ChocoMax contain formaldehyde?
No. Our formula is 100% formaldehyde-free, making it safe for both the client and the stylist applying it.
Can I apply ChocoMax to colored or bleached hair?
Yes! ChocoMax is excellent for chemically treated hair because it helps seal the cuticle, prolong color, and repair damage.
How many applications does each size yield?
The 32 oz size yields 8 to 12 applications. The 16 oz size yields 4 to 6 applications, depending on hair length and volume.
Can I wash my hair on the same day as the treatment?
We recommend waiting 24 to 48 hours before the first wash to allow the treatment to fully set.
What shampoo should I use after the treatment?
Use sulfate-free shampoo to prolong the results. Sulfates remove the keratin effect more quickly.
Can it be used with a 450°F flat iron?
Yes. A professional flat iron at 380°F – 450°F is recommended to properly seal the treatment.
How long does the complete application take?
The in-salon process takes between 1.5 and 2.5 hours, depending on hair length.
